About...

The rural chapel of Saint-Conogan (often simply called the chapel of Lescogan, after the name of the village where it is located) is one of the chapels in the commune of Beuzec-Cap-Sizun. The parish of Beuzec, on which this chapel belongs, was once a very large and important parish with many trèves (parish subdivisions in Brittany).

This beautiful little chapel with a flat chevet is characteristic of the 16th-century Gothic style of Breton Cornouaille. Its single-chambered bell tower is very elegant. Despite its small size, this chapel is in the shape of a Latin cross and has a true transept, but it seems that this last was added secondarily, but certainly shortly after the completion of the main nave.

This beautiful chapel have yet to benefit from any administrative protection.
